Abstract: A new cadmium(ii) coordination polymer has been synthesized in a diffusion process by employing the triangular rigid tri(4-pyridylphenyl) amine ligand. The complex crystallizes in the space group Pbcn and features a 2D → 3D framework with the coexistence of inclined polycatenation and polythreading
