Abstract: Eight novel aza-14-crown-4 compounds incorporating γ-arylpyridine moiety and possessing high inhibitory activity towards cancer cell lines were synthesized in one step from 1,5-bis(2-acetylphenoxy)-3-oxapentane, aromatic aldehyde and ammonium acetate.
