Abstract: The polycondensation of the cis and cis-trans-cis stereoisomers of (tetrahydroxy)(tetraphenyl)cyclotetrasiloxane in different ratios in solution in the presence of montmorillonite affords polyphenylsilsesquioxanes with different unit conformations and cyclolinear siloxane framework configuration as confirmed by 29 Si NMR spectroscopy.
