Abstract: The polycondensation of the cis and cis-trans-cis stereoisomers of (tetrahydroxy)(tetraphenyl)cyclotetrasiloxane in different ratios in solution in the presence of montmorillonite affords polyphenylsilsesquioxanes with different unit conformations and cyclolinear siloxane framework configuration as confirmed by ²⁹ Si NMR spectroscopy.
