Graphic abstract: Formation of active component particles in platinum catalysts on α-and γ-alumina

Abstract: The sizes of platinum particles in Pt/Al₂O₃ catalysts prepared by the impregnation of α- and γ-alumina with platinum nitrate solutions are determined by the composition of precursor solution and the calcination temperature, whereas the chemical state of an active component also depends on the crystal modification of alumina and its pretreatments.
