Abstract: The sizes of platinum particles in Pt/Al2O3 catalysts prepared by the impregnation of α- and γ-alumina with platinum nitrate solutions are determined by the composition of precursor solution and the calcination temperature, whereas the chemical state of an active component also depends on the crystal modification of alumina and its pretreatments.
