Abstract: A unified citrate-based method was developed and used to synthesize finely dispersed powders of practically important complex refractory lanthanum and gadolinium zirconates and hafnates with the structure of pyrochlore. The agglomeration of particles in the powders and pellets of the test compounds was characterised.
