Abstract: The role of the ferrocenium radical cation and Cp2Fe+–O• radical in the initiation of methyl methacrylate polymerization in the absence and presence of oxygen was demonstrated.
Keywords: ferrocene, benzoyl peroxide, ferrocenium radical-cation, [μ-(peroxy-O:O′)]di-ferrocenium, oligomeric reaction center.
