Abstract: The reaction of linearly bonded 1,1-bis(pyrazole-4-carbaldehydes) with propane-1,3-diselenol at room temperature in the presence of Me3SiCl followed by treatment with triethylamine affords the corresponding 1,1-bis[4-(1,3-diselenan-2-yl)pyrazoles].
