Abstract: Electrochemically induced multicomponent reaction of aldehydes, N-alkyl barbiturates and malononitrile in alcohols in an undivided cell leads to substituted pyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidines in 70–80% substance yields and 700–800% current yields.
