Abstract: The preparation of 4-(2,6-diamino-4H-thiopyran-3,5-dicarbonitrile) derivatives of sydnone and sydnone imines based on the ternary condensation of 4-formyl sydnones and sydnone imines with malononitrile and 2-cyanothioacetamide is reported.
Keywords: sydnone, sydnone imine, dihydropyran, hyperpolarizability, crystal structure.
