Abstract: Arylamidate palladium complexes containing deprotonated p-methylbenzamide and phthalimide have been synthesised; the latter has been characterised by X-ray diffraction data. A comparison of the catalytic and stoichiometric versions of N-arylation of p-methylbenzamide and phthalimide in the presence of palladium complexes and DPPF as a ligand has been carried out.
