Abstract: Stereoisomers of tetrahydrazide on the basis of p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene have been synthesised and characterised by IR spectroscopy, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry; the receptor properties of novel compounds towards metal cations, including most dangerous environmental pollutants, have been characterised by picrate extraction.
