Abstract: The reaction of one equivalent of primary amines with two equivalents of dibenzoylacetylene in the THF/H₂O system leads to 1-alkylamino-5-hydroxy-5-phenyl-2,3,4-tribenzoylcyclopenta-1,3-dienes in good yields.
