Abstract: The interaction of a boron-containing thio derivative of 5-nitropyrimidine with nucleophiles led to the first boron-containing σ-adduct of 5-nitropyrimidine; the structures of the test compounds were investigated by NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and X-ray analysis.
