Abstract: Step-by-step transformation of 3,3’,4,4’,5-pentachlorobiphenyl to biphenyl by dissociative capture of hydrated electrons and the recombination interactions of biphenyl radicals are studied in aqueous solutions upon electron beam irradiation.
