Abstract: The additions of a porphyrin cobalt complex diminished the rate of cross-linking copolymerization of ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) and styrene, shifted the autoacceleration process towards higher degrees of monomer conversions and modified the structure and properties of resulting cross-linked copolymers owing to catalytic chain transfer reaction, catalytic inhibition reaction and chain regeneration as a result of the reversible breakdown of a Co–C bond.
