Abstract: A solid solution based on Cs2Mg[Fe(CN)6] containing both [Fe(CN)6]4– and [Fe(CN)6]3– ions exhibits a green colour associated with electronic absorption spectra bands due to the outer-sphere charge transfer between complex anions.
