Abstract: The title reaction affords slightly air- and light-sensitive [(PPh3)2ClRu(μ-Cl)3Ru(PPh3)2(η1-P4)], which belongs to a very rare family of soluble tetrahedro-tetraphosphorus complexes and represents the first ruthenium species of this type.
