Abstract: Heating of ethyl 3-[βX-(benzazol-2-yl)hydrazino]-2-(polyfluorobenzoyl)acrylates in acetonitrile with DBU yields derivatives of 4-oxo-4H-benzazolo[2’,3’:3,4][1,2,4]triazino[5,6,1-i,j]quinoline-5-carboxylic acids, representing a novel heterocyclic system.
