Abstract: A jump-wise transition between two different kinetic modes of phase formation in the course of silane pyrolysis has been found experimentally. In one mode the solid phase is formed as an aerosol, in the other as a film; the phenomenon can be reproduced by mathematical analysis of a model mechanism.
