Abstract:
Temporary introduction of the Cr(CO)3 ‘ligand’ into the title substrate brings about a manifold increase in the enantioselectivity of its PPL-catalysed hydrolysis (characterised by the enantiomeric ratio parameter, E), and reverses the stereochemical result of the reaction.
