Abstract:
Treatment of benzylic zinc derivatives of (η6-alkylarene)tricarbonylchromium complexes with organic halides leads to the corresponding cross-coupling products giving a new method for the introduction of acyl, aryl, heterocyciic and vinyl substituents at the benzylic position of alkyl arenes.
