Abstract:
The reaction of complex Fe2(CO)6S2 1 with allylmagnesium chloride in tetrahydrofuran yields the compound Fe2(CO)6(μ-SCH2CH=CH2)(μ-SMgCI) 2a, whose treatment with CpFe(CO)2X (X = l, Cl; Cp = η5-C5H5) leads to the title compound 3, the structure of which has been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis.
