Abstract: The reaction of [Cr(η6-PhCH2ZnCl)(CO)3] 1 with [{Pd(η3-C3H5)Cl}2] 2 in tetrahydrofuran yields a novel complex [(η3-C3H5)Pd(CH2Ph-η6)Cr(CO)3] 3 with a Pd–Cr bond; the reaction of 3 with Phl leads to [Cr(CO)36-PhCH2Ph)].
