Complexes of Transition Metals in Zeolites. Activation of Hydrogenation Functions of Phthalocyanine FeII Complexes by Zeolites
A. N. Zakharov Department of Chemistry, M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow, Russian Federation
Abstract:
The liquid-phase hydrogenation of toluene by dihydrogen in the presence of zeolite-included FeII phthalocyanine has been studied, (effective energy of activation and pre-exponential factor 28 ± 2 kJ mol−1 and 10.3 × 105 g mol−1 s−1, respectively) and it has been suggested that the zeolite matrix takes part in the activation of the substrate via hydrogen bonding with inner atoms of the large cavity of the zeolite.
