Abstract:
A reagent prepared from PhIO and triflic anhydride (1:1 molar ratio) in dichloromethane gave aryl(vinyl)(p-phenylene)bisiodonium triflates 2 on reaction with alk-1-ynes and diaryl(p-phenylene)bisiodonium triflates 3 on treatment with aromatics.
