Abstract: Reactions of (Me₃Si)₃SnK with Cp₂MCl₂ (M = Zr, Hf) give the respective stannylated metallocene chlorides. These complexes display a tendency to eliminate bis(trimethylsilyl)-stannylene under Cp₂M(Cl)SiMe₃ formation.
