Abstract: Water-soluble forms of α-tocopherol (vitamin E) possessing antioxidant activity in vitro were obtained by encapsulating in N-vinylpyrrolidone with triethylene glycol dimethacrylate polymer particles and were characterized by various physicochemical methods. Quantum-chemical modeling of a structure of α-tocopherol with the copolymer moiety and its theoretical absorption spectra modeling were carried out.
Keywords: N-vinylpyrrolidone, triethylene glycol dimethacrylate, amphiphilic copolymer, α-tocopherol, encapsulation, antioxidant activity.
