Abstract:
Two powerful tools of organic synthesis, transition metal-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions and metal-free SNH reactions leading to nucleophilic displacement of hydrogen of the C(sp2)–H bond, have been combined into one convenient synthetic strategy. This idea has made it possible to obtain a wide variety of substituted azine derivatives, including push–pull systems, new biologically active compounds, organic semiconductors and sensor materials.
