Abstract: Novel 7-azidofurazano[3,4-d ][1-3]triazine 5-oxide was synthesized from 3-amino-4-(tetrazol-5-yl)furazan and nitronium salt. Its characterization including energetic properties is described.
Keywords: furazans, tetrazoles, [1,2,3]triazine 5-oxide, azido group, cascade nitration/ring-closure/ring-opening reaction, nitronium salts.
