Stochastic model of the condensed particle motion through a duct with fluid injection
K. N. Volkov, V. N. Emelyanov Baltic State Technical University
Abstract:
The model of turbulent gas-particle flow through a duct with fluid injection taking into account the interaction of condensed particles with turbulent eddies is established. The equations of nonviscous incompressible fluid flow are used for carrier phase motion simulation. The turbulence properties are computed at known velocity distribution on the basis of parabolic equations of two-parameter dissipative turbulence model. The discrete-droplet-model is invoked for simulation of condensed phase motion. The developed representations of discrete-droplet-model are distinguished by the description of the particles interaction with turbulent eddies and sample exception of random fluid velocity fluctuations. The results of numerical simulation demonstrate a significant role of migration mechanism in the formation of condensed phase motion pattern through a duct with various shape of cross section.
