Methods for kinetic equation of rarefied gases simulation of spiral waves in round excitable medium

V. S. Zykov, O. L. Motvzova

Institute of Control Sciences, Russian Academy of Sciences
Abstract: Two approches to simulation of spiral waves in excitable medium of restricted size are considered which based on reaction-diffusion models and on kinematic description of autowave fronts evolution. Apart from known centersymmetrical solution a new two-periodical regime was discovered. It is shown that parameters of both regimes as well as their stability depend on the size of the excitable medium.
