Abstract: On the basis of the vortex method a problem with respect to the behaviour of a single mode perturbation of the interface between two fluids under the joint action of impulsive and constant accelerations is studied. Applicability of this method to the approximated description of real gas dynamic flows is considered and comparison of computation results with some shock tube experiments is given.
