Computer experiment in science and engineering

On some mathematical models for investigation of wave generation in water reservoirs

T. L. Gvelesiany, N. O. Djgamadze, G. Ya. Gingihashvily, G. V. Meladze
Abstract: The results of study of parameters of waves generated at the water surface in reservoirs because of landslides processes at their edges are presented. The mathematical model based on the theory of small amplitude waves and the mathematical model based on the theory of shallow water are considered. The methods for solving the obtained equations are proposed. The computer experiment results are compared with the results obtained at physical models.
