Computation of thermodynamic and composition of nonideal gase-plasma media

V. S. Volokitin

National Center of Mathematical Modelling of USSR Academy of Sciences
Abstract: The model of ionization and chemical equilibrum is described in non-ideal plasma, that represents a generalization of Saha model. It takes into account a shift of ionization potentials and limitations of statistical sums due to the interaction between charged particles as well as electron degeneration. The highly effective numerical method for solution of these equations is developed. The program PAOLA, which is based on this technique, is described there. It may be used for computing the tables of composition and thermodynamic functions of a multicomponent plasma with molecules and it's ions in wide range of temperature and density values.
