About relaxation influence on flow in transonic region of Laval nozzle with a constant cross-section part

A. V. Chirikhin

Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute
Abstract: The main features of interaction between vibrational relaxation and spasing structure of nitrogen flows in nozzles with circular contour and with constant cross-section part are revealed. The possibility of realization of two qualitatively differet regimes of interaction is shown for the second instance. The first of them corresponds to total dispersion of weak shocks and the second one – to amplification of sufficiently strong shocks, if such shocks appear in a constant cross-section part.
