Calculation of gas flow parameters around reentry vehicle

Abstract:
Original numerical algorithm of gas parameters calculation around reentry vehicle was described and tested. It is based on the Quasi Gas Dynamics (QGD) equations system and its approximations on hybrid meshes. These meshes include both rectangular and triangular cells. The results of calculations on sequence of condensed meshes for Mach numbers 2, 5 and 12 are presented. These results correspond to known data and demonstrate high efficiency of algorithm.
