Solution of spectral problems for multilayer shells of revolution in the framework of the generalized Timoshenko theory of shells

S. A. Bochkarev, V. P. Matveenko

Institute of Continuous Media Mechanics UB RAS
Abstract: This paper presents the development of a computational algorithm for the generalized Timoshenko shell theory. The proposed method is based on the reduction of the shell theory equations to the system of ordinary differential equations for new variables. The solution to the resulting system of equations is obtained by Godunov's orthogonal sweep method. Numerical results are presented for natural vibration and aeroelastic stability problems.
