Abstract: The article discusses the possibilities of using pedagogical ideas for developing mental arithmetic skills from the system of the famous methodologist Professor Sergei Aleksandrovich Rachinsky. The manuals published by the authors are an inexhaustible storehouse of practical tasks for the modern school.
