Henri Poincare on teaching mathematics, mathematical creativity and morality

Abstract:
This year marks the 170th anniversary of the birth of the great French mathematician Henri Poincare (1854-1912). The article provides a brief biography of the scientist, his scientific achievements are noted. The main focus is on Poincare's thoughts on teaching mathematics at all levels, from elementary to higher.
