Abstract: The article aims students to realize that the principles of calculus and its methods are based on the completeness of the ordered set of real numbers, and that the leading theorems of the principles of calculus are equivalent to the statement about this completeness. The proofs presented differ from the traditional ones and are accessible to senior students of specialized classes.
