Abstract:
The possibility of efficient difference-frequency generation of terahertz radiation in a metamaterial representing a structure consisting of alternating layers of a semiconductor materials exhibiting intrinsic or metallic conductivity that can be grown by epitaxial methods is investigated theoretically.
