Fiber optic sms sensor for simultaneous measurement of strain and curvature

Abstract: The article presents a fiber-optic sensor based on a singlemode-multimode-singlemode (SMS) structure for simultaneous measurement of strain and curvature. It is shown that the simultaneous demodulation of strain and curvature can be realized using the Fourier analysis of the recorded interference oscillations
