Cooling of a vapor-gas mixture by evaporating water drops: dependence of the cooling time on the initial temperature of the vapor-gas mixture

Abstract: Numerical modeling of the cooling of a vapor-gas mixture by evaporating water drops has been carried out. An expression is proposed using the characteristic temperature, which determines the dependence of the cooling time on the initial temperature of the mixture. A technique for determining the characteristic temperature based on the results of numerical simulation is presented. An estimate of the error in the results of using the obtained expressions is made.
