Abstract:
The results of experimental studies of a 60 GHz lens antenna are presented to improve its characteristics based on the photon jet effect. It is shown that placing a dielectric cube on the open end of a waveguide according to the “plug-and-play” principle leads to an increase in the antenna gain up to 5 dBi without changing the design of the lens antenna itself. When the antenna operates in the "receive" mode, the gain increase is approximately 7 dB at a frequency of about 67 GHz.

photon jet, lens antenna, gain.
