Abstract:
Whiskers crystals were discovered in the tantalum–cadmium (56.6 at% Cd) solid solutions formed by in-turn deposition of the superfine tantalum and cadmium particles sputtered in low-pressure plasma on a moving substrate. The SEM studies have revealed whiskers crystals with a density of 2 per cm$^2$. It was hypothesized assumption that formation may occur of whiskers crystals in the film.
