Specific features of the dynamics of fast Z-pinch in a heavy-element medium revealed by X-ray spectropolarimetry

Abstract: Results of a spectropolarimetric study of X-ray emission from a micropinch discharge are presented. It is established that the character of polarization in various parts of the X-ray spectrum differs in dependence on the specific features of processes involved in development of pinching.
