The mean Poincaré return time locking: A criterion of chaos induced synchronization

Abstract:
A new method for diagnostics of the induced synchronization of chaotic self-oscillation is proposed, which is based on the local theory of Poincaré recurrences. It is established that, in the region of synchronization, the mean Poincaré return time is locked by an external harmonic signal.
