Abstract: We report for the first time, to the best of our knowlegde, on the optical limiting (OL) in stable suspensions of detonation nanodiamonds dispersed in heavy water at optical communication wavelenghts. The nanosecond Z-scan experiments at a wavelength range of 1400–1675 nm revealed that the OL performance decreases with increasing the wavelength.
