Abstract: Experimental results on synthesizing nickel oxide nanoparticles during the evaporation of micron droplets of a concentrated aqueous solution of nickel chloride in a low-pressure aerosol reactor are described. It is shown that the evaporation of droplets in a stream of argon is accompanied by the formation of agglomerates of nanoparticles with a “hollow” morphology. The mechanisms of low-temperature pyrolysis as the interaction of chemical and physical processes are discussed.
