Abstract:
Nanosecond oulsed current-voltage characteristics of an array of multi- and single-walled carbon nanotubes has been studied in the presence of electric fields where instabilities with negative differential conductivity are manifested. It is established that the development of electric instability in these structures obeys the classical percolation mechanism. Processes in weak electric fields are revealed, which are analogous to processes in the base grid with built-in inhomogeneities.
